Is blogging still a thing?

So there I was, drinking beer and looking at the internet. What ever happened to my blog..... I don't think people even realize that I race mountain bikes for a living. I think people know me as that guy who posts weekly POV videos on YouTube about riding on the edge of some scary cliff in the desert. I am a Vlogger now, do I really need a blog? Well, after a two-year hiatus, I just turned it back on because it made me smile. Let me know what you guys think. Times were simpler then. More projects, more problems. Wouldn't trade it for anything.

NEMBAfest 2017 was an absolute blast. Definitely put this on your event calendar for next year. I rode all the bikes, met all the people, and drank all of the beers. A perfect vacation from the racer life that I am so accustomed to.
Maxxis sent me to NEMBAfest to hang out at the booth, do some riding and shoot some video. It was great to meet everyone and shred trail with a bunch of different folks. I shot a ton of video from my trip, so stay tuned right here for more FCF episodes.
I ran a tire giveaway this week to celebrate hitting the 50K subscriber mark on Youtube. The winners are announced in this week's FCF episode above. HUGE thanks to everyone for participating and leaving comments, and supporting my channel over the last year and a half. Thanks Maxxis!

Dacre Dunn doing his best to jump the chair lift. The bike park at Burke is so fun to ride. Trains with the boys was the norm for the weekend, followed by beer drinking of course.....

Dacre and Matt set up bikes for people all day long and then rode till dark. Ever wonder why Yeti makes sweet bikes? Here is your answer. Even after working all day, these guys are still frothing to ride. This ethos starts at the top and works its way into the final product. Passion.

Thanks to everyone who came buy the booth to day hello last weekend. Nice to meet everyone and share some stoke.

Beer is so very important. Fortunately, we were giving out Maxxis koozies. The conversation goes like this- "We only have a few koozies left...." "Can I trade you a beer?' ........ In the end, beers were shared, hands were kept warm and new friendships were made. Rad.

Duh! That's how I find my valve stem when I flat out in the low light of late evening. Not that I'm getting many flats since getting rid of tubes years ago. But It still is a good excuse for OCD behavior, no? Glad to see I'm not the only one who bothers with this kind of (useless) detail. Keep ripping it, filming it, and sharing it.
