Is blogging still a thing?

So there I was, drinking beer and looking at the internet. What ever happened to my blog..... I don't think people even realize that I race mountain bikes for a living. I think people know me as that guy who posts weekly POV videos on YouTube about riding on the edge of some scary cliff in the desert. I am a Vlogger now, do I really need a blog? Well, after a two-year hiatus, I just turned it back on because it made me smile. Let me know what you guys think. Times were simpler then. More projects, more problems. Wouldn't trade it for anything.

Lava Flow

#followcamfriday sampling the softer side of Cedar City with James Weingarten.
While I normally steer clear of trails with the word "flow" in the name, Lava Flow is actually relatively chunky and pleasing to ride. I did hear my wheels crying for mercy once or twice, so that is good enough for me.

James wore his Christmas appropriate down coat, which I really like teasing him about, because he is Jewish. I am more of a festivus guy myself, but if you do celebrate Christmas, do the right thing and get super drunk. Alcohol knows no religious tradition, and doesn't care what you think. It just gets you drunk .

The view from the top of C-Trail is inspiring. There were several carloads of people making out as the sun was setting. So romantic. I bet some bad decisions have been made in this parking lot. There is no winner of the " just the tip" game. Only losers. This message brought to you by the church of jesus christ of latter day saints.

On a more serious note, if you are looking for a last minute Christmas gift, James runs weekly t shirt campaigns, donating a large chunk of the proceeds to a different animal charity each week. Follow this link HERE and save some penguins, koala bears or a puma if you are lucky. These furry friends aren't going to save themselves. Very noble of Mr. James, if I do say so myself.

These trails have an inordinate amount of inside turn, rock booters. Singles to nowhere for days. This is very refreshing as compared to the builders that put a large rock on the inside of every turn to keep you from leaning your bike properly, of from having fun properly. Kudos to the builders on this one. Every inch has been utilized for maximum enjoyment. An odd, but accurate way to describe this one. Again, cheers to the people behind this one. Love your work. Consider a donation to the trails HERE. These trails don't build themselves.

So whatever you believe, I want to wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Thank you for tuning in this season, cheers to another amazing year of riding bikes with my friends. Couldn't do it without ya!
