Is blogging still a thing?

So there I was, drinking beer and looking at the internet. What ever happened to my blog..... I don't think people even realize that I race mountain bikes for a living. I think people know me as that guy who posts weekly POV videos on YouTube about riding on the edge of some scary cliff in the desert. I am a Vlogger now, do I really need a blog? Well, after a two-year hiatus, I just turned it back on because it made me smile. Let me know what you guys think. Times were simpler then. More projects, more problems. Wouldn't trade it for anything.

#followcamfriday bringing you a little course preview from next weekend's Revolution Enduro event at Granby Ranch. Come on out and beat me down the hill! If you can't beat me, yell things at me and throw stuff.
There is a 5 stage enduro race going down next weekend at Granby Ranch. Come on out and heckle us. Better yet, sign up dad for a late Father's Day present.... A new lawn mower is a nice gift, but dad just really wants to shred. The gift that keeps on giving. Event info HERE

Do you think James rode this one out?? James is a ninja, but seriously, this isn't looking good for our boy.  If he would have been on one wheel, this would not have occurred.... Always #lovesbackwheel, never both.

Granby Ranch, the bike park formerly known as Sol Vista is just a short drive down the road from Winter Park. Fortunately for those who prefer smashing into rocks, the close proximity is where the similarities end. Granby is as rough and raw as ever. The jumps have been tamed down a bit in recent years but the raw nature of the original trail system that was lovingly built by Momentum Trail Concepts, remains. A nice contrast to the smoothness that is Winter Park in general.

You will hit rocks, you will break things. This is mountain biking as it should be experienced, if you ask me. This is the perfect venue for an enduro race. The people with the most skill and fitness will prevail. As it should be. And if you are like James, you just pull up before the rocks, and then you don't hit as many...

This particular jump is about half the size that it used to be. I went a solid 35 feet past the case point on my first run. This jump scared the shit of me back in the day when we raced DH Nationals on this track, a bunch of years ago. I'm old. It was full-commitment or a trip to the hospital. Getting past my fear and hitting that thing for the first time was a huge THING for me. I nutted up and sent it, and that feeling is still deep inside me somewhere. It left a mark on me.
It's still fun, as long as you check up a hair. If this theory keeps the lawyers happy and keeps the chairlift turning, than I am all for it. I would rather jump over flaming punji sticks with alligators and sharp metal objects in the landing, but that's just me....

So come out and have a crack next weekend. There is a chairlift... How hard could this be, right... haha. We are just coasting down the hill.
Any Dad that beats me on Father's Day gets a special prize. 10 second bonus per child rule in effect. And you thought children were just for tax breaks! lol
