Is blogging still a thing?

So there I was, drinking beer and looking at the internet. What ever happened to my blog..... I don't think people even realize that I race mountain bikes for a living. I think people know me as that guy who posts weekly POV videos on YouTube about riding on the edge of some scary cliff in the desert. I am a Vlogger now, do I really need a blog? Well, after a two-year hiatus, I just turned it back on because it made me smile. Let me know what you guys think. Times were simpler then. More projects, more problems. Wouldn't trade it for anything.

Kendall-Weed #lovesbackwheel

#followcamfriday Season 2, Episode 50 with Mr. #lovesbackwheel himself, Jeff Kendall-Weed. Video game shit from the Galbraith trails in Bellingham, Washington. Evolution to Unemployment Line.
I have known Jeff for a long time, but have never had the chance to really ride with him outside of the race scene.  What have I been doing with my time?? Truth is, we are both really busy and things have never lined up.
Picture
Jeff has a style all his own. After watching his antics on the internet for years, it was truly a pleasure to witness the madness right before my eyes. How do I describe this.... Danny Mac mixed with Jeff Lenosky... Throw in some Aaron Chase... Basically,  unreal bike control at speed. Video game stuff.
Picture
As I was traveling thru Washington on my way to Whistler, I randomly reached out to Jeff, asking what he was up to. I had no idea that he lived in B-Ham. Jeff had one day to spare before jumping onto an airplane. Jeff has a family. Jeff works full-time. Jeff has no time. He still took 3 hours to give me a tour of his home trails at Galbraith. I guess I got lucky with the timing for once. I am normally a day late, and a dollar short.
This is what I am taking about. Skills to pay the bills.  While you are over there, subscribe to his channel for more chaos. Try not to go down the rabbit hole. Just try. These videos are like Pringles, you can't eat just one. I don't like Pringles, I drink beer instead. This could be a problem....
Picture
Jeff and I have a bit in common. Basically, pull up off of everything and worry about it later. I mean, trails are too short to not take full advantage of every inch. Now, if I just possessed 1/4 the skill of Jeff..... I have some work to do.
Picture
Just wait till next week. Shit gets really weird. I wouldn't have it any other way. Stay tuned friends.

Falling Down

Falling down is part of the game. #followcamfriday from New Mexico with Shawn Neer and Jubal Davis. Hide your berms.
Here's the deal. Falling down is part of the sport. If you are not okay with the prospect of slapping the ground, this sport may not be your cup of tea..... The occasional dirt-nap is exfoliating. Actually good for the skin. It's science.
Picture
No berm is safe from the wrath of Sean's rear wheel. Cut inside and let it slide. I'm just back here in the cloud....

Full send mode. Always pull up. Let er buck son.

Probably what is going through Jubal's head on the regular.

#followcamfriday east coast tech-fest. This was filmed in the spring during NEMBA fest, on J-Bar. No rock too big, no root to slippery.
So, I am currently on assignment of Vermont, capturing some fall color. I couldn't help but reminisce to the spring when I was hanging out in Burke for NEMBAfest. Join Dacre and Matt as we smash out a lap on J-Bar.  Black dirt, roots and rocks. Yes please!
Picture
Beer, staple of mountain bike culture. Recovery drink and sports hydration, all in one. Not sure what I would do without it really. Life would be boring....

Warp speed through the woods. Hard to beat trains through the forest with the boys.

The Tiki bar at the Kingdom Trails is my kind of place. I can't think of a bar that made me feel more welcome. There is a burrito truck within 50ft of the taps, which certainly doesn't hurt the situation. Got to keep those levels up. Cheers until next time, stay classy Vermont.

Fooses Creek #followcamfriday fantastic with Tom Sampson in 4K. Monarch Pass should be on everyones short list of cycling destinations....
In last week's episode, Tom hit the deck. Like, I need to go to the hospital now, hitting the deck. I wish I could inform you that he has already healed, but we actually shot this the day before the unpleasantness occurred.
Picture
Thanks the the modern miracle of the "interwebs" , I give you this. Fooses Creek in the best dirt I have ever seen, just before sunset. It's always better if you almost get darked on....
Picture
Golden leaves on brown trail. Quintessential Colorado high country fall riding. So good!
Picture
One of the most iconic starting points to a trail that I can think of. This first chute is the steepest part and rewards the skidder with miles of root-infested singletrack. All 3200 feet of it. Go ride this!
