Is blogging still a thing?

So there I was, drinking beer and looking at the internet. What ever happened to my blog..... I don't think people even realize that I race mountain bikes for a living. I think people know me as that guy who posts weekly POV videos on YouTube about riding on the edge of some scary cliff in the desert. I am a Vlogger now, do I really need a blog? Well, after a two-year hiatus, I just turned it back on because it made me smile. Let me know what you guys think. Times were simpler then. More projects, more problems. Wouldn't trade it for anything.

Boosting Jumps on Teton Pass

Teton Pass in Wilson, Wyoming has some amazing riding. As far as shuttle runs go, this one is pretty rad! #FollowCamFriday chasing my old friend Brendon Newton, on Fuzzy Bunny, Jimmy's Mom and Parallel. #makePOVgreatAgain
This was filmed in June 2017. I was on my way to Fernie for a race and this was a logical spot to stop along the way. I didn't make any real plans with anyone and ran into Brendon straight away. We used to ride together many year ago in Colorado, and I couldn't ask for a better tour guide.
Picture
I met Brendon at the Lake Arbor dirt jumps, way back in the day. Like 14 years ago, back in the day. Turns out he is as comfortable in the air now, as when we first met.
Picture
The grass was just starting to grow for the season, so the sight lines were ideal. Keeping it pinned through the jungle is never easy when you can't see what's coming.
Picture
Text book Scandinavian flick, to initiate the turn. Try it sometime, you can thank me later.

No day on Teton Pass is complete without a stop at the Coach for a post-ride barley pop. Cheers bro, keep it lit!

Whistler Bike Park | Top To Bottom

Whistler delivering the smashy goodness, yet again. #followcamfriday from the rock strewn, brake bump infested, slice of awesome that is the Whistler Bike Park. Jump in the train with Botsy Phillips, Noah Catropa and the Big Loambowski, Ariel Lindsley.

EXTENDED CUT NOW AVAILABLE ON PATREON
Everyone was well-tired from racing the Crankzilla EWS the previous day, but we just couldn't resist smashing out some park laps. I mean.... there's a chairlift.... may as well use it....
Picture
Noah Catropa and I were on out trail bikes here. Botsy and Ariel were riding DH rigs and it was interesting to see the speed differences and what we could and couldn't get away with on our small bikes. My trail bike rolls so fast, but the margin for error is slightly different and things can go wrong in a hurry.....
Picture
Blasting A-Line in a train is one of the better things you can do with your life. Nothing quite like this that I have experienced.
Picture
If something gets in your way, turn.
Picture
There are many good ways to get to the bottom, but this is what we chose. A good mix of tech and jump if you ask me. Original Sin- Blue Velvet- In Deep- Fatcrobat- Too Tight- Upper A-Line- Fade to Black, to Lower A-Line. Simply amazing.

Oh Whistler. I will confess my love for you. #followcamfriday from Top of The World to the valley floor with the most pinned people. Mega train bringing the pain. Khyber, Kashmir, Kush, so good!

If you need more of this in your life, considering supporting my efforts on Patreon. Extend cuts for conesiuers of trail. Best enjoyed with a cold beverage! #makePOVgreatAgain
Here we go again. EWS week can only mean one thing, ride yourself into a hole because you are in the best place on earth. I am resting as I type these words, right.... We can rest when we area dead.... It's too smokey to ride.... Yeah, none of that chatter is keeping me off my bike.
Picture
Peter Ostroski is pinned. He has bronchitis and is still keeping things lit.
Picture
Top of the World is special. The smoke in the air from the wildfires only adds to the moody vibes up here. Sharp things everywhere. All of them.
Picture
Chris Johnston @thenomadsmtb demonstrating proper stanual technique. Chris #lovesbackwheel

Mark Scott lost the uphill stair challenge. First time I've seen him dab. Ever.

2017 Yeti Tribe Gathering

Last week, between races, I had the pleasure of attending the 16fth annual Yeti Tribe Gathering in Crested Butte, Colorado. This consumer event, organized by Sarah Rawley and the good people at Yeti Cycles is an absolute blast. #followcamfriday drinking tequila and eating bacon. Correct living.
?This is my second Tribe Gathering and certainly will not be my last. This was my largest group ride to date- 250 freaks on bikes. Couldn't think of a better way to spend a Saturday. Tequila station at 11,000 feet at the base of the Teocalli singletrack climb...... How could you not!?
Picture
Duncan Nason is the new junior to join the squad for 2017. Duncan is pinned. Watch out for Duncan.
Picture
The Teo descent is All-Time. Perfect dirt made things even more amazing. Brown Pow in Colorado? Strange. I am more used to ball bearings, delicately sprinkled about, waiting to catch me out. #rhymeskills
