Is blogging still a thing?

So there I was, drinking beer and looking at the internet. What ever happened to my blog..... I don't think people even realize that I race mountain bikes for a living. I think people know me as that guy who posts weekly POV videos on YouTube about riding on the edge of some scary cliff in the desert. I am a Vlogger now, do I really need a blog? Well, after a two-year hiatus, I just turned it back on because it made me smile. Let me know what you guys think. Times were simpler then. More projects, more problems. Wouldn't trade it for anything.

Rabbit Ears

#followcamfriday on one of the lesser-ridden trails in Sedona with Alex Petitdemange.
In a land littered with classic trails to ride, this one is a welcome change from the norm. Sedona is known for many trails that people would consider some of the best in the world, and they often overshadow some of the less ridden and less talked about sections in town.

I think I have ridden every trail in Sedona at this point. That by the way, is no easy task. I am not sure if there is another place in the world that the trail density per acre is so high. There is literally trail everywhere. What a time to be alive.

Rabbit Ears probably doesn't get ridden much because of its location. We are on the Village of Oak Creek side of town and there isn't that much over here besides Slim Shady. Slim leads to a bunch of options, but Rabbit Ears is flanked by wilderness and is on it's own little island oasis, detached from other trail linkups. If you are looking for something completely different, this one ticks the box.

Rabbit Ears was recently realigned and makes for a nice loop with Little Rock and Big Park Loop. Once you get away from the Bell Rock trailhead, which is an absolute disaster I may add, it is nice and quiet out there for the most part. Perhaps the clogged trailhead deters cyclists from even thinking of riding this one, ha.

It's always a pleasure riding with Alex Petitdemange. This is one of those trails that rewards light, active riding. Holding speed is the name of the game. Precision. Alex is the master of using the terrain to squeeze out every bit of speed and flow. I am very fortunate to have some talented friends to chase around.
