Is blogging still a thing?

So there I was, drinking beer and looking at the internet. What ever happened to my blog..... I don't think people even realize that I race mountain bikes for a living. I think people know me as that guy who posts weekly POV videos on YouTube about riding on the edge of some scary cliff in the desert. I am a Vlogger now, do I really need a blog? Well, after a two-year hiatus, I just turned it back on because it made me smile. Let me know what you guys think. Times were simpler then. More projects, more problems. Wouldn't trade it for anything.

I just arrived in New Zealand to do some racing and travel for a few weeks. Stay tuned here for updates from the adventure! Sweet as! This is my second trip to NZ and my first time on the South Island.

The days are long this time of year and the landscapes are dramatic.

Ted Morton is the owner of the BC Enduro Series. Ted is pinned. Join us for a lap on Cheeseman DH, in Craigieburn. This trail throws a bit of everything at you, beginning in the alpine, snaking through steep , tree-lined sections, and finally ending with some high speed shenanigans towards the bottom. FollowCamFriday New Zealand extravaganza.

Dakota Ridge to Red Rocks loop, Morrison, Colorado

In this weeks episode, Matt Fisher and I ride Dakota Ridge to Red Rocks trail in Morrison, Colorado. #FollowCamFriday season 2, Episode 14.
People are always asking me to make some edits from Denver. Here you go, my favorite short lap in the greater Denver area. Dakota Ridge is one of the more technical sections of trail on the front range and has always been my go-to ride in the area. Cleaning this one takes a ton of skill and fitness... Anyone out there ever clean it? No dabs?

Here, I am chasing Yeti employee, and all-around great guy, Matt Fisher. Everything works out until it doesn't, and this is worth a watch until the end. Something interesting may have occurred..... Fortunately, Mr. Fisher is tough as nails, and blood is easily cleaned off of top tubes. On to the next one.

Bike check time. This is the long awaited, real-life bike check on my Yeti SB5.5c. After spending a good part of last summer on this beauty, I have learned a thing or two.
This is a very comprehensive check where I reveal the reasons behind my current setup. Everyone has their own personal tricks and bits that make their bike unique. This is an in-depth look into how I set up my rig as a professional racer. If I haven't answered all of your questions, please don't hesitate to leave me some q's in the comments on Youtube. I have a link to a detailed parts spec in the video description if you are interested.

Crack a cold one and pay attention..... Thank you for watching!

Whistler Bike Park Mega Train

Mountain Biking from the Whistler Bike Park. Jump in the train as we ride A-Line to Family Cross. Follow Cam Friday, all 4K, all damn day. New episodes every Friday at 10am MST.
There really isn't anything better than riding with your homies on the jump trails in the Whistler Bike Park. Get in the train with Krunk Shox, Adrian Camposilvan, Mckay Vezina, Rat boy and a bunch of other lads. I could pretty much ride A-Line all day and be perfectly happy. The lower section is Family Cross, and snakes its way through the Crankworx Slopestyle course.

Mountain biking the lower Whistler bike park

Picking up where we left off  in last week's episode, we ride the lower trails in the Whistler Bike Park. #FollowCamFriday, all 4K, all damn day. Fresh episodes every Friday at 10am MST.
I posted the first part of this run in last week's episode. We began at Top of The World, eventually descending 5000ft back to the valley floor. This is one of the longer and more engaging descents anywhere, taking about 25 minutes at a reasonable pace.

In this episode, we ride sections of No Joke, Freight Train, Mckenzie River, Del Boca Vista, Lower A-Line and finish with the GLC drop. Join myself, Adrian Camposilvan, Will Cadham, Ben Forbes, and Krunk Shox as we have some fun on this slice of Whistler radness. FollowCamFriday is laughing at your friends. See if we can make it to the bottom without coming apart. Thanks for watching!
